Did you know that many different breeds have allergies specific and common to them alone? Always educate yourself to your pet's potential allergens to keep them safe. Your Veterinarian can help you with this information along with many reputable books, such as my favorites by the Animal Planet “Pet Care Library”. Some of the most common toxins for dogs are alcohol, apple seeds, caffeinated beverages, chocolate, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, mushrooms, onions, peach leaves and pits, potato (all green parts), tomato plant (except ripe fruit), Xylitol (an artificial sweetener) and a wide variety of plants and flowers (i.e. Aloe Vera, Azalea, Begonia, Carnation, Daffodil, Chives, Eucalyptus and others).
