Okay, so what is carob?
Carob is a dog-safe alternative to chocolate. Carob trees (Ceratonia siliqua) are native to the eastern Mediterranean and have been cultivated for thousands of years. Carob is much healthier than chocolate because it is free of the allergenic and addictive effects of caffeine and contains much less fat. People, particularly vegetarians and healthy dieters, often substitute carob for chocolate. If you are dying for a piece of chocolate, don't steal your dog's treats. People quality ingredients? Are they safe for my dog?
Every ingredient we use at JnC Gourmet Pet Bakery are ones you would find in your own kitchen. Most commercial dog foods and treats are made with a lot of filler and artificial preservatives. Our treats contain no artificial preservatives, and they contain natural ingredients such as unbleached flour, rye flour, oats, egg, natural peanut butter, vegetable oil, and carob.

How many treats should my dog eat?
Would you eat chocolate cake and ice cream all day if you could? Okay, bad question. Should you eat chocolate cake and ice cream all day? No. Dog treats are exactly that - treats. You should only feed your dog one or two treats a day. Canine obesity is a huge problem in the United States, and we encourage pet owners to exercise good judgment when allowing their dogs to indulge.

Should these treats be refrigerated?
Jack's Carrot and Cheese Muffins and the Sweet Potato & Bacon Loaf Cake will need to be refrigerated.  All other products may be dry stored.  A list of product ingredients and storage recommendations will be included in every order.  We do not use any preservatives what-so-ever, our treats are completely natural; because of this you should take care not to expose JnC Gourmet pet products to extreme temperatures or moisture.  For the freshest treats we recommend using within 6 months or store in the fridge to prolong the shelf life.

What are your shipping methods?
For your convenience we ship by UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail. Shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout. Please note that our shipping days are Monday - Friday, excluding holidays. Most orders are shipped within 48 hours. If an item is backordered, JnC Gourmet Pet Bakery will contact you.

Can I ship an order to multiple addresses?
If you would like to send a shipment to more than one address, you will have to place separate online orders for each destination.

What are your shipping rates?
First shopping cart item-$5.95, every one additional shopping cart items $1.95.  An oversized shipping surcharge will be automatically added to all gift basket sizes, which are noted in the product description. 

How long does shipping take?
USPS Priority Mail generally takes 2 to 4 days depending on your location. UPS Ground is normally 1-5 days depending on shipping zone.  Please keep in mind that the usual time for processing is 24-48 hours before being shipped. For express shipping kindly give us a call and we will be happy to rush your order for an additional fee.

Do you ship outside the USA?
At this time we do not ship internationally because this is a food item.

Sales Tax - New York state residents will be charged 8.75% sales tax.

Methods of payment accepted:
PayPal-Credit and Debit Card payments.
Checks and Money Orders - Payment must be received and cleared before order is filled.
